Paul’s Request for Prayer, 2 Thessalonians 3:1–5—Questions

Posted: July 12, 2011 in 2 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians 3:1–5 Paul’s Request for Prayer, Bible

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you; and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you, and guard you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.

Questions

  1. When was the last time you prayed that the “word of the Lord would spread rapidly and be glorified? “ Will you pray for that today?
  2. Will you pray for those who carry the gospel throughout the world today? Will you pray for their deliverance from the “unreasonable and evil”?
  3. Do you believe that the Lord will establish you and guard you from Satan?
  4. Are you dutifully trying to live a life that follows the commands of God?
  5. Are you growing daily in the love of God and in the patience of Christ?

No doubt in my mind that this prayer of the saints was the fuel behind the amazing things God did during the recent Crosswalk mission trip to juvenile correctional facilities in the Midwest. To Him be the glory and may He give the increase so that His kingdom will be increased. If you are one of those who prayed for us, thank you!
